2024 Goldeneye Anderson Valley Gewurztraminer Confluence Vineyard

2024 Goldeneye Anderson Valley Gewurztraminer Confluence Vineyard

The Goldeneye Gewurztraminer is sourced from a single one-acre block within our Confluence Vineyard, is night-harvested and whole-cluster pressed before first light to preserve its inherent freshness. Fermented in neutral oak for up to 45 days, the wine preserves the vibrant aromatics and expressive character essential to varietal. Bottled shortly after fermentation, it is best served well chilled — an effortless pairing for a wide range of cuisines.

  • This aromatic Gewürztraminer opens with an expressive bouquet of lychee, jasmine, crystallized ginger, and Meyer lemon custard. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and elegantly polished, with vibrant yet balanced acidity. Fresh flavors of crisp Asian pear, delicate honeysuckle, and star fruit glide across a subtle backbone of minerality, leading to a bright, graceful finish that lingers with charm.

A PINOT
BACKSTORY

Goldeneye Winery was founded in 1996, years before the Pinot Noir boom that has reshaped the landscape of California winemaking. But the genesis for Goldeneye goes back even further. In 1990, after fifteen years of making world-class Bordeaux-varietal wines, Dan and Margaret Duckhorn embraced their growing love of Pinot Noir. Their vision for Goldeneye was simple, though not easy. They wanted to found a winery that could make a terroir-inspired expression of California Pinot Noir of equal stature to the acclaimed Merlots they had pioneered at Duckhorn Vineyards in Napa Valley.
