Anderson Valley Wineries
Only sixteen miles long and five miles across at its widest, the Anderson Valley is home to a unique group of twenty plus wineries producing a broad range of excellent wines. The planted acreage in the Anderson Valley consists primarily of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, and White Riesling. There are also small acreages of other varietals such as Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel. We invite you to visit our winery neighbors while in the Anderson Valley.
Area Attractions
While the Anderson Valley is home to many top-producing wineries, it is also home to a wide variety of state parks, many a short distance from the Goldeneye Estate Winery. Enjoy a day hike or overnight camping at Hendy Woods State Park in Anderson Valley or Russian Gulch State Park in Mendocino. For additional park information visit the California State Parks website.
Be sure to visit the town of Mendocino for a walking tour where there are many quaint shops and boutiques. You can also use the expansive trail system to explore the Mendocino Headlands.
Just up the coast from Mendocino is the town of Fort Bragg, home to the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens. This is the only public garden in the continental United States fronting directly on the ocean, quite beautiful and worth a visit.
There is also plenty of horseback riding, canoeing, kayaking, and mountain biking in the area.
